Temple of High Country

News

The Shapell Foundation Roster Project, is asking for people to come forward if they are aware of any Jewish relatives who fought in the Civil War or if they have written materials about Jewish Civil War soldiers. For more information or to provide information, please go to the Shapell Roster web site https://www.shapell.org

Do you have news you would like to share with other members - good news - a marriage, a grandchild, a trip, a job, recovery from illness, sad news, an illness, or a death? Here is the place to do it. The news should be about your family, not anyone else's, unless they have specifically asked you to send it to the temple via email to templeofthehighcountry@gmail.com.

If you are aware of a special circumstance in which you feel the TOHC needs to acknowledge...a new baby , a sick member, a death in the family, a wedding etc, please email   templeofthehighcountry@gmail.com.

Looking for a challah for Friday night.?.......you can order one from Stickboy in Boone, Earth Fare in Boone, Harris Teeter, Publix in Boone, or Lowes Foods in Boone and Banner Elk.  Just call the day before and they will make you one or two.  Stickboy has been wonderful to the Jewish Community. They have even baked special round challahs for the holidays.  Kosher chickens can be found at Publix in Boone by ordering a few days to a week ahead of time.

There are still many naming opportunities left....please check our fundraising page and be part of the DREAM.

Please do not forget to send in your membership dues of $350.00 for a family and $200.00 for an individual.  The temple needs your dues more than ever.  You may send it to the Temple of the High Country, P.O. Box 2895, Boone, NC 28607.
