Sisterhood

Our TOHC Sisterhood is a growing, strong and integral part of our temple community.  Please join us in getting together with women of all ages...Our programs are educational, social, spiritual and just plain fun. 
We welcome all new members and we  are always looking for new ideas for programs. For more information please call Leigh Girard at 828-264-2557.

Sisterhood is Creating a Temple of the High Country Cookbook..We need your RECIPES....Please send any recipes to Erika Siegel....  elsqx4@charter.net   or Marilyn Ramo....  daisyramo@aol.com..........Call Leigh Girard at 264-2557 for more information.  If there is a story that goes along with your recipe, please include it.  We are very excited about this project.

Every month, the Sisterhood of the Temple of the High Country will participate in a collection and distribution for various agencies in the county.  This is part of our mitzvah project.  Please tell all of your friends and neighbors to help you in your collections. Our sisterhood will be teaming  up with the Women of the High Country in organizing and disbursing these collections.  We are excited about working with this most important agency. We are beginning several important clothing drives at this time....We are collecting coats, gloves, scarves, boots and blankets.  The winter is coming soon and there are people in the community that will desperately need these items.  We are also collecting toiletries.   Before our seasonal friends leave the high country, they can "Leave Something Behind".  We are collecting your canned and pre-packaged foods and un-opened toiletries.  This is for the Hunger coalition.   You can bring all of these items to services or to Leigh Girards house or Heritage Realty in Banner Elk.  Please email Leigh at lgirard44@bellsouth.net, or Erika Siegel at elsqx4@charter.net

SISTERHOOD CALENDER

Please stay tuned for information regarding Mitzvah week.  Mitzvah week  will be  September   20-  25, 2010.  We  will be participating in various social action projects in the community..  If you are interested in working on this committee, please call Marla Gentile at 828-719-1048.  More information will follow,.
